“The best views come after the hardest climb”. Just joking 🙃 Although it took us four hours by bus to get here, this view was only a 5 minute walk from our hotel.
There is a 4 hour (12km) hike that you can do around the crater of the volcano but I’m not about that life because of the freezing weather! Who knew a country located on the equator can be so cold?! Even after wearing 5 layers, I was still freezing!
Do you see the thought bubble 💭 above my head formed by the clouds? What do you think I’m thinking about?! If you said donuts, you are right 🍩.

26km and 8 hours of hiking for this incredible view 😍 Slight hiccup along the way... I was 3 hours in before I realised I hadn’t put my food or water bottle in my day pack 😭 Safe to say I demolished at least 10 empanadas in record breaking time at the first store I passed on my way back into El Chalten 🤭 Putting together my Patagonia packing guide today... which 100% includes food and water 😂 #regrets

After a day of whitewater rafting on some of the most wicked rapids I’ve ever been on, relaxing in this natural mineral thermal spa looking over the town of Baños was a dream ☁️ !
I am feeling so grateful for being able to enjoy things like this, for being healthy enough to travel without much hassle, and for being able to share my passion for travel with all of you here on Instagram. There’s nothing that fills my heart more than traveling and inspiring others to do the same!
Thank you for following along in my journey and giving me the opportunity to share my world with you!
Tell me one thing that you’re happy about today! Big or small! xoxoxo love, Krystine 💕
I’ve been asked, “Where is home, to you?” You find home in people.
Darker situations (as a solo, female, petite traveler) would start in Buenos Aires but it didn’t end there. But what came out of misfortunes: the compassion, empathy, and support from the locals & international backpackers to assist you in every way. You find a community to keep the motivation going. Ahead of me might have been darkness, but looking up & I felt the kindness of strangers. To go back home is to be defeated by fear. So I wore my misfortunes as a badge, knowing I’ve overcome them & not letting it taint the whole experience.
Buenos Aires will become one of two that put me in the most danger. The other is Rio. But those two have become my most loved places in South America where I found deep friendships and has become the source of my most vivid memories. (May 2018)
From my Chilean adventures. An intro to Patagonia and the Andes... Also the Nandu, the Chilean ostrich. What an absolutely stunning country.
