Comment “😍” and you’ll get a surprise in your DM’s! 👈🏼 Ever wondered why the islands in the Cyclades have such narrow streets? It’s mainly for 2 reasons: the first is the wind: strong winds are constantly blowing, so the narrow streets block the wind, allowing for walking without being affected 💨 The second reason is the pirates: many different narrow streets meant that in their attacks, the pirates would have to split into groups instead of attacking as a whole. Also, If you’ve visited the Chora towns of Naxos, Paros or Mykonos, you have certainly noticed how much they look like a maze. The locals knew their town by heart, but the pirates didn’t. So it was easy to ambush them! ⚔️ • • • •
Autumn. There is already snow again on the summits. The light is slightly different. Mild, not as bright as in summer. The days are shorter. At night, we‘re discovering temperatures below freezing every now and then. The highest larches are already yellow, and after every cold night the gold strip sinks further down the valley. Once upon a while I have to think back to the days I feel the most alive.
Things I’ve learned from these ladies: - Be independent - Be patient - Be yourself - Always listen
These friends of mine have been there for me the past few months through an extremely difficult time and I can’t feel more grateful. Mad dog, Mols and Haley, I love you. And thank you so much for everything you do.
