Day 5 of water only fast. Down -2lbs and a total of 11lbs. Last night was rough! The muscle soreness was no joke, I was in tears and couldn’t sleep most of the night. I drank a little broth to see if that would help, and it helped a little but definitely still uncomfortable today. I’m listening to my body today, and may end the fast early.. I have two very little kids and it just doesn’t work if mamas soreness doesn’t even let her lift her arms. As this was my first water fast, I’m really proud no matter how long i go since i never thought i would be able to go this long without food and this definitely won’t be my last water fast. If I do stop today I will do Omad for a few days before trying a water fast again. Hands up to myself. At this particular moment 3 in the afternoon, no cravings so I don't know how I'm going to refeed or maybe I go for another week, which was the original plan BUT I broke it down to 1 week because I didn't know if I could do it. Maybe some steak would be fine but then the family wants fries and I kind of know myself.

Taking a moment to purge and organize my life as suggested by @selfdevelopment2019.
I haven’t used “shakes” since 2017, but for some reason we still have #shakeology in our cabinet.
Before I learned to pay attention to nutrition labels, I would jump to the #beachbody meal plans, supplements, shakes etc. .
I spent A LOT of money, when the best results I’ve ever had in my life cost me absolutely nothing!
Let’s look at the label. One scoop contains 7 grams of added sugars. Have two shakes a day and this is 14 grams of added sugar before accounting for any other sugar in your diet.
Keep in mind this is if you ONLY use one scoop per 8-12 Oz of water. Many people use more than the recommended serving size.
While I love #BeachBodyOnDemand work outs, I would caution participants AGAINST falling into the trap of spending your money on their supplements. Also, since I believe in the science of #intermittentfasting , I pretty much disagree with the eating every two to three hours (or 6 small meals a day).
Aim for a balanced diet:
2️⃣CLEAN meats: -wild caught NOT FARMED RAISED fish, such as salmon -Grassfed/grass finished meats, from a local farmer if possible (if not, @butcher_box will ship quality meat to your home for an affordable price) -Poultry WITHOUT antibiotics and allowed to forage, not grain fed.
3️⃣Fruits: Enjoy them as a desert, as nature’s original candy
4️⃣Low in processed foods: YES, your protein shake is a processed food.

Day 6 is done! And I feel soooo much better. A lot more energy, walked around all afternoon shopping for a big girl bed for Layla, cooked meals no worries. Feeling so much better. Not feeling as light headed either. I do still feel heavy heart beat at times and need to rest every now and then for a bit, but all in all feeling way better and not as lethargic at all. People who struggle with their weight, whether it is the last 10 or the last 100 pounds, can all benefit from fasting. •
Temporarily restricting the food you consume has wonderful benefits to the way our brains work, the way our hormones balance, and our ability to use fat stores on the body.
Fasting is arguably THE most powerful tool on the planet for weight loss.
Fasting allows your body to truly tap into your fat stores in the body. Your body has 2 main fuel sources — sugar or fat.
The trick is, it is an either-or situation. You cannot burn both fuels at the same time.
Just like a car, you cannot be in drive and reverse at the same time. You are either burning sugar, or you are burning fat.
Most of us are in sugar-burning mode all the time. We never fully use up our sugar stores before we eat the next meal that is easily converted to sugar.
And since it is easier to burn sugar (it is cheap, quick and readily available) than it is to burn fat, our body will choose the path of least resistance and choose to always burn sugar.
Fasting will cause weight loss by accessing stored fat as energy, and it promotes excess water loss.
It’s Friday. Today I decided to break my fast for more energy in the gym. I plan to eat tomorrow and Sunday and then back to fasting Monday to Friday. At least, that’s my plan. I was 163.5 this morning, but will have more weight tomorrow due to today’s food consumption.
Trying to get down to a weight I’m most comfortable and then I want to build lean, beautiful muscle.
