La Pizza probabilmente è il piatto più famoso al mondo, che gode di migliaia di rivisitazioni e varietà diverse. 🍕

Nella concezione comune l'abbinamento perfetto è con la birra o la Coca-Cola.

Ma perché non "azzardare" l'abbinamento con il Vino?? 🤔

Premesso che ognuno è libero di abbinarci il vino che più preferisce, ma per me l'abbinamento perfetto è: un vino rosso giovane, magari affinato soltanto in acciaio.
Mentre per le Pizze bianche invece l'abbinamento ideale è con una bolla "facile" come un prosecco o con vini bianchi di poca struttura. 🇬🇧: Pizza & Wine - why not? 👇

In the common concept the perfect combination is with beer or Coca-Cola.

But why not "risk" the combination with the wine? 🤔 
Given that everyone is free to combine the wine that most prefer, but for me the perfect combination is: a young red wine, perhaps refined only in steel.
While for the white pizzas, the ideal combination is with an "easy" bubble like a prosecco or with white wines with little structure.

  • What do you do to limit the risk? I ve already said that top condition from top vintage was a good idea.

So I took this château Rocquegrave 1945 #crubourgeois from #medoc . 
1945 is among (if not) the best vintages of the century. 
It seems that the vines wanted to celebrate the end of WWII! 
And mother nature was good to us. 
This is not a #hrandcruclasse or the most common winemaker you find in old vintages.

But just take a look at the ullage : base neck! Just amazing for such a 73 year old #wine.

Just after poping the cork, I had fruits jumping of the bottle (black cherry, cassis) and then leather, cigar, library books.
After some aeration, the fruits were more on the background and the tertiary notes were just very nice. It is not so strong, but it has something very romantic and délicate to it. 
Not much length of course but it is still lingering on the palate. 
You can t go wrong with 1945 and this is another proof ! 
Wish I could have more 1945!
