Sisterhood of the chicken loving, hat wearing, quilt making, scarf adorning ladies. We are a quirky bunch, but we sure aren’t boring! 😂😂🌿🌿🥰❤️

// Life before her, we could blend into the crowd. As two introverts, we rather liked it that way. But now she's here - flashing that perfect smile, staring people down with those baby blues, flirting sweetly and charming hearts. And oh the stories we've heard heard and the connections we've made. Our girl. Always teaching us the beauty in living open hearted, and seeking community wherever we go. ☕
For me Feedback is a great source of learning. It is an opportunity to develop yourself further. I think to teach children on giving and proactively seeking a feedback is an essential tool that we can give them for their further development. For sure a great part of that learning is also an ability to receive feedback. More and more big companies are trying actively integrate feedback as part of their culture, but my personal experience shows that actually for some people it is really difficult to get that mindset due to wrong attitude towards feedback process. So, why not to start an introduction to the feedback early in the childhood, so that kids are familiar and open to this powerful tool. How do you see Feedback? Do you try to integrate a feedback culture with your child?
“Compared to kids confined indoors, children who regularly play in nature show heightened motor control—including balance, coordination, and agility. They tend to engage more in imaginative and creative play, which in turn fosters language, abstract reasoning, and problem-solving skills, together with a sense of wonder. Nature play is superior at engendering a sense of self and a sense of place, allowing children to recognize both their independence and interdependence. Play in outdoor settings also exceeds indoor alternatives in fostering cognitive, emotional, and moral development. And individuals who spend abundant time playing outdoors as children are more likely to grow up with a strong attachment to place and an environmental ethic.” ― Scott D. Sampson
But yeah, it's 'just play'. Let's keep reducing kids time to play in favor of pushing academics on them and wait to see the consequences. PASS! #wildandfreechildren#lifewithoutschool#unschooling#childhoodunplugged#freerangekids#natureplayqld#getoutside
I was having a beautiful convo with my sweet Mama friend the other day about the little rituals that our girls get involved in day-to-day as they watch us and learn from us as they get older. One of India’s favourite things is watering our plants 🌱🚿 it’s such a simple thing but it gives me so much joy watching her little green thumb grow 🐛 #childledlearning
Sibling photos will always be my fav 🙊🥰 It’s funny, growing up I always said I never wanted kids, and I wasn’t very maternal. Now that I have kids I couldn’t imagine myself ever not wanting them. Especially knowing I’d have these two 🙈 Were you always going to be a mum, or did you not want any to start?
One of our neighbours told me she heard the children going by as they were walking down the lane to catch the school bus..From inside her house!!! It’s very peaceful here, it made me wonder how much noise they must’ve been making all down the lane?! 😬

Last week we lost our goose, Ginger, to a wedge tailed eagle. We have see sawed between sadness over losing our curly feathered girl, and sheer wonder at the majestic (and endangered in Tasmania) eagle. So many conversations. And the first time that these eyes saw the world as not quite as beautiful as before. Oh may she only see the heartbreak and darker side of this life through the lens of the natural world for a long time to come.

Miss L wanted a reptile party for her 6th Birthday 🐍🦎🐢 Richard the Reptile Man from the Reptile Roadshow was absolutely fantastic and everyone had a really good time 🥳😍💖 It was really lovely watching the children’s reactions (and some of the adults! 😂) Miss L had a hold of every animal without any delay and Miss R made special friends with a baby dragon 🐉 (My have one at home Mummy?! 😬😂) Most enjoyable and easiest party I’ve done so far 😍💖 #6yearsold
