I heard on the radio yesterday, in -14F weather mind you, that for the second time this winter Nevada has gotten snow! Exciting or terrifying? I’m not sure, but i am sure I’m ready for scenery like this, and a god damn TAN for heaven sakes 🤣🙏🏻

“In the last several months I’ve been to 10 countries, 12 states, and countless awesome spots, yet I still haven’t found anywhere that even comes close to touching the beauty of my own backyard. This was taking on a solo camping trip. On the way back to the trailhead I counted 14 moose and not a single human. Words can’t even express my love for this awesome place 🌲”

A perfect day in a perfect place. Only thing missing is a little red fluffy dog.

❄️ There is something immensely satisfying about being the first to make tracks in freshly fallen snow. Even when following a trail you can mostly still tell where it is, there is something exciting about forging the first trail of the day. It harkens back to that innate sense of exploration that led people all over the globe, always looking around that next bend, over the next rise. With as explored as the world sometimes feels, how Instagramed, how geotagged, it is refreshing to capture even a small portion of that feeling, that wonder. Even if snowshoeing in fresh powder can be so gosh darn hard. 😂 Anyone else feel the same?
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful, He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
