Mars would look like this in my dream. 😁 Well, not done with my posts from Middle East. Yesterday somebody asked me, what is the most underrated place I’ve been to. And I didn’t have to think twice. It is Saudi Arabia. A country that was closed to tourists until recently. Saudi has always made headlines for the wrong things. But here’s a travellers version.
Undoubtedly, it’s the largest country in the Middle East. The capital city Riyadh, is very modern, spread over 1,798 km sq. this picture is from a place in the suburbs of Riyadh. Common to local and expats as edge of the world.
It is known for cliffs that drop down 300m overlooking a massive plain. This picture definitely doesn't do justice to its magnificence, because you can only capture so much when the site in itself is so huge.
Apparently, this amazing change in terrains, as you can see, was a result of tectonic plate shifts. Research says, the sedimentary grounds reveals layers that accumulated when this area was a shallow tropical sea during Jurassic era (150 million years ago). Interesting fact and a true story; if you just look hard enough, you'll find fossils of shark tooth and corals. To sum up, all I can say is - absolutely humbled by nature!!!!
Honestly... "Kick Sum Habits" by doing yourself a favor and DMing my brother @awmosthell and get yourself a piece of clothing and or accessory with his beautiful artwork on it. You will NOT be disappointed.
"Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. There's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it." ― Bubba, Forrest Gump
