  • Yet another great luxurious dish. A big twist on the whopper with fries. A rich sweet and smoky barbecue sauce served with duck confit and brioche bread. As with a whopper of course also eaten with your hands. A very delicious, humorous and delicious dish. A truly memorable dish. For full review see link in bio

  • @francescaferreyros started as head chef at @IK_restaurante a bit more than half a year ago. With the summer menu I have a fealing thisnis the first of her own menus that she truely feals is an expression of her personality and style if cooking. Her first menu was a mix of Asia and the Amazon. So is the second menu it is just that much better. The menu has a clearer sence of identity, there is a nice progression in the menu, nice techniques without being too much and most importantly The flavors are just so much better. Probably because she felt more free to cook the menu she wants which of course makes it a restaurant that I am very much looking forward going back to. The first gem on the menu is a raw scallop served with an “amazonian leche de tigre” but done with mango to give it a fruity and sweet flavor. Delicious and beautiful.

Review: El Ideas, affectionately referred to as "El" by all the employees, caught our attention when researching restaurants in Chicago. Before even finishing our meal "El" had quickly jumped up the list of our favorite restaurants. The whole experience was fun and interactive, and the food was executed to perfection. Their potato leek soup turned into a whimsical treat of “milkshake and French fries”. The whole experience made us feel like we were attending a fabulous dinner party with friends, surrounded by graffitied walls, painted vent ducts and 90s rap music playing overhead. The chefs made each course fun and invited guests back into the open kitchen to eat and help prepare some dishes. Chef and Owner @phillipfoss encouraged us to walk around the entire restaurant in between courses and proudly had pictures of his children displayed throughout the kitchen. Anyone in the Chicago area should check out this unique and exciting dining experience. If you're looking for a fun dinner with Michelin star quality food for a reasonable price, El Ideas is a one stop shop.

We will definitely be back the next time we're in Chicago. Thank you Chefs Foss, Price and Mutchnik
