Working toward Headstand!
Beginners Guide to Headstand. 1. Getting comfortable upside down is the first step in learning headstand. To minimize pressure on your neck try two blocks under your shoulders. This will also help to gain strength in both your neck and core for a successful full inversion. 2. Start your journey in Tripod Headstand. To begin I would definitely do this with your back facing a wall just for added security. Once you can get the feeling of being upside down🙃 you can then begin your journey of strengthening your body to get into a full headstand. 3. Remember a strong foundation for each pose is more important than the final goal. Practice this until it’s strong and consistent. A lot of people just send their legs up without the proper strength and end up hurting their neck. We don’t want that. You are getting all of the benefits of headstand right here. Everything has a beginning and it’s important to honor that beginning first. 5. Once you feel strong maybe try to take the blocks away and remain near the wall. Follow your body, if it hurts then stop. It’s never good to force yourself into a pose your not ready for. Now give it a try!

If you don’t see a door; build one and create opportunities for yourself.
Instead of saying "I can’t" believe than you can. Because it’s true.
Change your environment and don’t be scared to have new experiences. Take risk.
Identify what is holding you back and you can work on it.
Give yourself permission to fail and mess up. Keep going you don’t have to be perfect.
Lately I have been working a lot on strenght poses and inversions and I went more to the gym.
I struggle a bit more with my backbend practice and feel kind of stiff. I’m trying to find the balance with everything. Between strenght and flexibility. 👌🏼🌙
I stopped taking pictures of my yoga practice for a while because I spent too much time trying to get the perfect picture instead of just practicing. 🎬
Today, I utilized my pictures as a way to work on a pose that has been challenging for me. 🤳🏻
Oh, boy. Did you know sometimes I think my leg is straight behind me, but it is totally bent? Pictures, like social media can be harmful, they can force me to focus on perfection, or beauty in an unhealthy way, but they can also be helpful. 🦵🏻
Practicing perfect alignment is much better for me...and gets me to have a much more fulfilling practice. 💪🏻
I’m so grateful for what this month has brought me and how much stronger I have become, and it isn’t even over.
Celebrating the small victories makes all the difference in moving towards the big ones. 🤜🏻
As humans we often ask "What is life all about?" Perhaps the answer is as simple as "You're alive so that you can experience, love, and evolve into the person you are today". .
What do you think life is all about? Big question I know. 😉 .
