Nothing like taking in the sunset, laying down at the edge of the greatest valley on earth. Warmer times in Yosemite National Park. |10.20.18|

Half Dome, my favorite subject.
Last night a friend asked me what my favorite portrait lens was. I thought about my 85mm, and how perfect it is for most portraits. And then I realized that it’s also my favorite lens for shooting portraits of this beautiful rock from Yosemite Valley. I might have a slight obsession. #hundredviewsofhalfdome

Half Dome reflected in Merced River at sunset (jan. 19). I had to use my vaders for this image. Unfortunately I also discovered that my vaders, that the day before was in perfect conditions, now all the sudden was no longer in that perfect condition. Don't know how I got those holes, but suddenly I felt water where it shouldn't be water🙄.

I don't think I've ever been anywhere quite so stunning as #Yosemite 🏔️❤️
@markian.b The natural Firefall is one of Yosemite National park’s most amazing spectacles. Around the second week of February, (this month) the setting of the sun hits Horsetail Fall at just the right angle to illuminate the upper reaches of the waterfall, and when conditions are perfect horsetail fall glows orange and red at sunset 🌅

We could hear and see ice shafts dislodging from the face of the waterfall and tumbling into the river below. The force of this was creating new pathways for the water to flow across the snow-packed river bed.
